  • Cache Files: Used to speed up page loading. Contains no personally identifiable information.
  • Extension Data: Browser extensions you install may store their own data. Please refer to each extension's privacy policy.

You can view, manage, and delete all of this local data at any time in the browser's Settings.

3. Network Requests & Search

Hami Melon Browser uses the following default services:

  • Default Search Engine: Baidu (Baidu Privacy Policy). Keywords entered in the address bar or search box are sent to Baidu to return search results.
  • Safe Browsing: The browser may send partial web page URL fragments to safe browsing providers to detect malicious sites and phishing threats, protecting your online safety.
  • Automatic Updates: The browser periodically checks for updates, transmitting only the current version number — no personal data is included.

You can change the default search engine in the browser's Settings.

4. Extensions

Hami Melon Browser supports installing extensions from the Edge Add-ons Store and the Chrome Web Store.

  • Extensions are provided by third-party developers. Hami Melon Browser does not control their data collection or usage practices.
